The Las Virgenes-Malibu Council of Governments (LVMCOG) is in the process of updating the Hazard Mitigation Plan for the cities of Agoura Hills, Calabasas, Hidden Hills, Malibu, and Westlake Village. As part of this process, the LVMCOG is reaching out to the community to provide their input into the plan. Public involvement is a key requirement for this effort and a survey has been developed to provide a platform for local residents to voice their opinions about their disaster preparedness needs and concerns.
The following link can be used to access the survey: HAZARD MITIGATION PLAN SURVEY
The data gathered will be used to help local officials better plan for disasters and is a vital component in developing local mitigation steps that will help in reducing the risk of loss to lives and property.
The survey is scheduled to run between April 6 to May 31, 2018. The results of the survey along with the updated Hazard Mitigation Plan will be published later this year.
